According to the University of Gothenburg in 2013; among women who reported stress, 40% had psychosomatic symptoms in the form of aches and pain in their muscles and joints, 28% suffered from headaches or migraines, and 28% reported gastrointestinal complaints.
As if you didn't need another reason to reduce your stress. The problem is most of us do not have the skills to handle it or even better prevent it. It always comes back to whats in your heart and how that manifests itself in your actions via your character. There are some things that can be done medically to assist you. I am not a strong believer in medication as I am talking things through with a therapist. Additionally to aid in keeping you on the right track, Acupuncture has been shown to help curb additions and other unhealthy habits. Eating right and exercise are also 2 biggies!
In my personal life I strive to dig deeper and deeper with my relationship with Jesus Christ. I never realized how calming this can be and helps to work on the "heart" of the stress. If you want to know more about my walk or consult with us regarding medical therapies to aid in your stress reduction...give WellnessOne of Redding a call at 243-9464.
