HOW MUCH SALT AND POTASSIUM A DAY?

Good morning!

The World Health Organization as of January 2013 recommends adults should reduce salt intake to 5g per day and consume at least 3510mg of potassium per day.  Our country, which is known for its extravagance, leads the way in salt consumption.  We really do need to focus on lowering our salt intake and increasing our potassium.  Both are critical for our physical well being however salt (otherwise known as sodium) is also used for flavor, particularly in our processed foods.

If you are "addicted" to salt and have difficulty reducing your intake, give WellnessOne of Redding a call.  Joseph Hlebica, L.Ac. our staff acupuncturist is well versed in helping folks reduce their addictions.

It's your future...be there healthy with WellnessOne!  Have a blessed day!
