HOW MUCH SALT AND POTASSIUM A DAY?
The World Health Organization as of January 2013 recommends adults should reduce salt intake to 5g per day and consume at least 3510mg of potassium per day. Our country, which is known for its extravagance, leads the way in salt consumption. We really do need to focus on lowering our salt intake and increasing our potassium. Both are critical for our physical well being however salt (otherwise known as sodium) is also used for flavor, particularly in our processed foods.
