Good morning!

A study was published by the American College of Rheumatology in November 2012 on drinking sodas and the development of arthritis of the knee.  After controlling for risk factors for knee osteoarthritis (obesity, age, prior knee injury, extreme stress to joints, and family history), men who drank sugary soft drinks experienced worse knee osteoarthritis progression than those who did not. This correlation was not apparent in women.

Folks, another reason we need to be staying clear of sugary drinks and all sugar basically.  It obviously increases the risk of type 2 diabetes and is the main reason for making cholesterol stick to your arteries!  Cholesterol in and of its self is not bad despite what you may have heard.  Its when it becomes sticky with excessive blood sugar that it really becomes an issue.
