Good morning!

Cartilage is avascular, meaning it does not receive nutrition via blood vessels. Like a sponge, it takes in fluid and releases the fluid when compression is applied. This alternating compression and re-expansion allows it to receive its supply of nutrients and remove metabolic waste. So on top of your Chiropractic care to remove scar tissue within joints, you should also exercise regularly to keep those joint moving.  The 2 together are a good receipe for fighting off osteoarthritis and staying in good health!

Have a blessed weekend!
